Dress Me Bestie is the name of our sewing pattern series which is all about dressing self-sewn cuddly friends. Teddy bear BETSY is 16 inch (40 cm) from head to toe and one of the characters for whom you can sew matching clothes and many great accessories – and all of them are interchangeable between the characters in the series! To sew the stuffed bear, you should have a little sewing experience and 2-3 hours of time.

What’s special about our Dress Me Bestie rag doll sewing patterns: Compared to other plush patterns or stuffed animal sewing patterns, Dress Me Besties are quick and easy to sew. The arms and legs are attached to the body pattern piece, eliminating the need to cut and sew small pieces! The ears are also not sewn separately and then attached to the head, but are part of the head pattern piece. You can sew everything together with a sewing machine, so no hand sewing is necessary. That make’s it particularly safe in terms of tear resistance.

TUNIC / DRESS
Hardly any piece of clothing from our kullaloo Dress Me Bestie series is as versatile in style as the tunic. Whether solid with long sleeves, short-sleeved with a romantic, playful floral pattern and ruffled sleeve hems, or retro in a contrasting raglan shirt style, there are no limits to your creativity with this tunic! It can even be sewn in a long version as a doll dress pattern.

SIMPLE SKIRT
So simple and yet so versatile: This skirt for your kullaloo Dress Me Bestie consists of just one pattern piece and is therefore sewn in no time! Whether made of denim, rib knit fabric, French terry knit or cotton poplin, whether with flowers or just solid – you can create great outfits with this skirt.

HEADBAND
Sewn with pointed or round ends, the headband will add the ultimate cuteness overload to any Dress Me Bestie! You can also use it as a belt for a tunic dress!

MARY JANE SHOES
Shoes are like chocolate – you can never have enough of them! And that‘s why they shouldn‘t be missing from your Dress Me Bestie‘s closet. The classic Mary Jane doll shoes are closed with a small strap across the instep and some Velcro. Two darts give the shoes more volume, so they can also be worn over slightly thicker socks.

LINED SOCKS
These socks are the icing on the cake for your Dress Me Bestie outfits! They are sewn in two layers, so they basically have a lining. On the one hand, this means that all edges of the fabric are hidden, and on the other hand, you can fold the upper edge over. This way you have either knee-high socks or ankle socks with a cute folded-over brim.

Embroidery designs and cutting files

Important: You don’t need an EMBROIDERY MACHINE to applique the face elements! You can do the appliqués with a simple sewing machine and a double-sided iron-on adhesive webbing like Heat’n Bond. We explain how to do this in great detail in the sewing instructions. You can also find video instructions for doing appliqués with a sewing machine on our Youtube channel. However, if you HAVE an embroidery machine, you can also buy the stuffed bear sewing pattern with the matching face embroidery design!

If you have an digital cutting machine like Cricut or Silhouette, you can also buy matching cutting files. You can use them to create iron-on transfers for the facial elements of the teddy bear. This saves you from having to sew appliques with the sewing machine (as described in the sewing instructions).
