SuperSoft SQUISHY is the name of our very own kullaloo mochi minky, the super soft and squishy fabric you might know from Squishmallow soft toys. This ultra-soft black mochi minky fabric is available as a pre-cut fabric piece measuring 39.5 × 29.5″ (100 × 75 cm). Made with 5% spandex, it is much stretchier than classic minky fabric, making it perfect for creating incredibly soft and squishy plush toys. It’s also a wonderful choice for baby blankets, costumes, pillows, accessories, and many other sewing projects.

The plush fabric is perfect for sewing projects for babies and children, as it’s easy to clean (machine washable in warm water, dryer friendly) and produced without harmful substances according to European toy safety standards (EN 71-3 / REACH), which cover chemical safety. Compared for example to a sherpa plush made out of cotton, the plush is much softer and does not lose its incomparable cuddliness after many washes. It is also sturdy and very durable, so it can withstand years of cuddling and snuggling. That, along with all of the love and time you invest, gives a good chance that your handmade plushie or blanket becomes a lifelong companion!

About our “SuperSoft SQUISHY” black mochi minky fabric

SQUISHY is a single-sided, 4 way stretch mochi minky fabric with 1 mm pile length. It stretches both horizontally and vertically, with the horizontal extension being significantly larger. Due to this extreme stretchability, your handmade plush toy will be amazingly soft and squishy, ​​especially when combined with a non-clumping fiber filling. As our mochi minky is made from two strong and durable materials – polyester fiber and ultra-soft spandex – it prevents the stuffed toy from breaking and shrinking. Another big advantage is that it does not shed as much as minky fabrics with a pile length of 3 mm or 5 mm. SQUISHY is manufactured according to international quality standards and independently tested for harmful substances under European regulations (EN 71-3 / REACH).

Our plush fabrics are available as pre-cut fabric pieces only. For the mochi minky we currently offer a size of 39.5×29.5″ (100×75 cm). The dimensions correspond to a 20″ / 0.55 yard (0.5 m) piece of fabric with a width of about 60“ (1.5 m). The advantage of the pre-cut size is, however, that the fabric piece is more rectangular. This way you can easily make larger cuts from it, such as for baby blankets, pillows or parts for a jumpsuit.
