About the hobby horse cutting files
If you have an digital cutting machine, you can use these cutting files to create iron-on transfers for the facial elements of the horse instead of sewing them as appliqués with a sewing machine or by hand (as described in the sewing instructions). The cutting files come in the common file types .DXF, .SVG, .JPG and .PNG. After purchase and payment you can download the horse cutting files including packed in a .ZIP file.
Choosing the right vinyl
If you want your Hobby Horse to stay as cuddly as possible, it is best to use flocked HTV. Flocked HTV is a thicker heat transfer vinyl with a soft velvety feeling, while the regular HTV is thinner and more delicate. Especially if you use plush for your horse, the flocked HTV is hardly noticeable when you stroke it.
Choosing the right fabrics
To ensure that the cut vinyl elements adhere well to the fabric and do not come off again, the fabric shouldn’t have too long piles or be too uneven. Long-pile plush, for example, has many little hairs on which the vinyl will not stick so well, since the vinyl only sticks to the little hairs and these move back and forth depending on their length. The plush used should therefore have a maximum pile length of 1/8″ – 1/4″ (about 5 mm).
What’s included with this product:
- Cutting files for 5 different pairs of eyes (each left and right eye) and for 3 different nostrils (each left and right nostrils), in the formats .DXF, .SVG, .JPG and .PNG
