🧵 Step-by-step sewing instructions

Step 1: Cut the pieces

Print the sewing pattern and cut it out with the chosen seam allowance. You can hide the seam allowances you don’t need by hiding the layer in Adobe Acrobat. Make sure to cut out the inner circle of the flower piece!

Transfer all flower pillow pattern pieces to your fabric: the petals 2× (one mirrored) and the flower center 2×. Cut everything out, including the inner circle of the petal pieces.

Step 2: Sew the petals

Pin the petal fabric pieces right sides together and sew around the outer petal edges. Trim the seam allowance along the curves.

Step 3: Turn and shape

Turn the petals right side out through the inner circle opening. Stitch a line between each petal to define the petal shapes for stuffing later, stopping about ½ inch (1 cm) before the inner circle.

Step 4: Stuff the petals

Fill each petal evenly with stuffing so they look plump and soft. Fold the seam allowance of the inner circle inward and close it neatly with an invisible ladder stitch.

Step 5: Sew the flower center and assemble the pillow

Sew the two circles for flower center right sides together, leaving a turning opening. Turn the circle, fill it with stuffing, and close the opening with a ladder stitch.

Place the stuffed flower center in the center of the petals and hand sew them together.
