Description
Anyone who loves Hobby Horsing like we do knows that the love for this hobby does not stop with riding. It is also the equipment and the beautiful accessories that make up a large part of the passion for Hobby Horsing. The more, the better, we think 🙂 So of course, every Hobby Horse needs a good selection of different bridles. So why not make a Hobby Horse bridle with bit yourself? With this Hobby Horse DIY bit set, you can make different types of bridles, like English bridles or Grackle bridles. There are no limits to your creativity!
The bit is normally passed through the mouth and consist of a mouthpiece with rings on each side for buckling the reins. If the mouthpiece has a joint, it is called a broken bit. The most well-known bit is the so-called “snaffle bit”, which you can buy here in a set of three.
The entire bit is about 5″ (13 cm) long. The mouthpiece between the two o-rings is about 2 3/4″ (7 cm). The o-rings correspond to the o-rings from our bridle and halter DIY kits. They have an inner diameter of 1″ (2.5 cm), an outer diameter of 1 1/4″ (3.3 cm) and are 1/8″ (4 mm) thick. This makes the bits the perfect size for your Hobby Horse. The bits are particularly suitable for the two kullaloo Hobby Horse patterns (eBook “HOLLY” and “HOPE” from our Hobby Horse book).
Included in set to make a Hobby Horse bridle with bit:
- 3x broken ring snaffle bits gold-colored, attached rings with an inner diameter of 1″ (2.5 cm), made of iron-zinc alloy with nickel-free coating
TIP: If you don’t just want to buy the snaffle bits, but also the rest of the material you need to make a bridle for your stick horse, we’ve got you covered! We have four great bridle DIY kits for with double-sided synthetic leather in black and brown!
