Our brown pinto hobby horse fabric is the perfect velboa for sewing a light, dun-colored or pale pinto hobby horse – without having to paint the typical patches on yourself! Across the 39.5×29.5″ (100×75 cm) fabric piece, you’ll find small and large beige / light brown patches on a white base, imitating the coat pattern of pintos with a natural color gradient often seen in dun horses. This design also works beautifully as a brown cow print fabric, giving you even more possibilities for your sewing projects.

It’s ideal for creating horse breeds such as Paint Horse, American Pinto, Gypsy Vanner, or Icelandic Horse with pinto markings, and can also be used for other animals with similar patterns, like cows, goats, or dogs (e.g. Collies, Spaniels). By positioning your pattern pieces creatively, you can achieve countless variations from a single panel – perfect for hobby horses, plush animals, or other creative sewing projects.

The hobby horse fabric panel is digitally printed on our SuperSoft SHORTY (the pile does appear slightly flatter/shorter due to the print). The fabric is easy-care (machine washable at 30 °C and tumble-dryer friendly) and certified free from harmful substances according to European toy safety standards.

About our cuddly brown cow print fabric

Our hobby horse velboa fabric is soft and smooth despite its very short pile (1/16″ or 1.5 mm). The short-pile plush is similar in look and feel to our SHORTY minky, though it feels a little thinner and less fluffy because of the digitally printed horse coat pattern. The back of the fabric is smooth, and since it doesn’t shed as much as plush with a 3–5 mm pile, it’s especially easy to work with. Like all our fabrics, this velboa is produced according to international quality standards and tested for harmful substances.

The Brown cow print fabric is available as pre-cut fabric pieces only, with the dimensions of 39.5×29.5″ (100×75 cm). It is packed in a pretty paper box, which makes it also great as a gift! The dimensions correspond to a 20″ (0.5 m) piece of fabric with a width of about 60″ (1.5 m). The advantage of the pre-cut size is, however, that the fabric piece is more rectangular. This way you can easily make larger cuts from it, such as for baby blankets, pillows or parts for a jumpsuit.
