With this teddy bear making kit, you can sew up to three cuddly bears using our soft SuperSoft SHORTY fabrics. The included printed sewing pattern guides you step by step. A piece of black felt is provided for sewing the eyes and nose. Once finished, you can dress the bears in handmade clothes from old garments for a personal touch. Newborn to 6-month baby clothes also fit perfectly. This makes the bundle not only a fun sewing project but also a lovely way to create keepsake bears from meaningful fabrics.

Components of the teddy bear making kit

Teddy bear fabric: This bundle includes four pieces of our ultra-cuddly SuperSoft SHORTY minky fabric in ivory, baby pink, camel, and taupe. Each piece measures 39.5×29.5″ (100×75 cm). The short-pile plush (1/16″ or 1.5 mm) is easy to sew, machine washable, and tested for harmful substances. It’s the perfect fabric for sewing teddy bears and other plush toys that stay soft and cuddly, even after many washes.

Felt for eyes and nose: The bundle includes a 3×3″ (7.5×7.5 cm) piece of black felt. You can use it to appliqué the teddy bear’s eyes and nose with a simple straight stitch, since the edges won’t fray. Alternatively, the pattern also provides embroidery files for machine embroidery and cutting files for digital cutting machines like Cricut.

Sewing pattern: The teddy bear making kit comes with a printed template for our memory bear pattern JOSHI. All pattern pieces are printed in color on professional-grade paper and include illustrated, booklet-style instructions. The pattern covers the teddy bear itself plus clothing pieces like pants, a shirt, a button-down shirt, a removable collar and a bandana that you can sew from a loved one’s garments. Thanks to its size, JOSHI can also wear real baby clothes (newborn to 6 months, depending on fit), making it easy to dress your handmade bear with special garments or keepsakes. Additionally needed to sew a teddy (NOT INCLUDED)

• Face: double-sided iron-on webbing (e.g. Heat’n Bond) + white hand embroidery floss for eye twinkles OR safety eyes (Ø min. 0.31″ / 8 mm) and safety nose (approx. 30 mm)
• Fiber fill, approx. 0.75 lbs (350 g)
• Old clothes / garment from a loved one to sew clothes for the teddy bear, OR old baby clothes the teddy bear can wear (size: newborn to 6 month)
